Please join the USGBC Central Plains Chapter and the Kansas City Chapter of AIA as we welcome Sara Cederberg, from National U.S. Green Building Council, for a presentation on the LEEDv4 updates that will be released later this year.  Sara has been heavily involved in the development of LEED rating systems, and will provide valuable insight as to what is to come and how it will affect our industry.

Sara Cederberg, Associate AIA, LEED AP BD+C is a Manager in the LEED department of the U.S. Green Building Council.  Sara manages the creation of LEED v4 submittals and LEED Online forms.  She also works on the technical development of the LEED rating system with a focus on the relationship between human health, occupant experience and the built environment.  Most recently, Sara has taken on the technical development of the MR-related content that includes Extraction, Environmental Product Declarations, and Material Ingredients credits and is managing the emerging programs associated with the $3 million grant USGBC received from Google to advance the healthy building materials market.

Prior to joining USGBC, Sara worked as an architect and sustainability consultant.  She successfully managed the certification of over 60 LEED certified projects across various rating systems.  Sara earned her Master's in Architecture from Tulane University.

The presentation will start at 4:30, and is approximately 1 hour, with 30 minutes for Q&A afterward.  Be sure to stay for the networking social following the presentation to discuss the LEEDv4 updates with peers and interface with a variety of representatives of the greater Kansas City metro community.

This presentation is approved by GBCI for 1.5 CEs for General, LEED BD&C-, ID&C-, and EBOM- specific hours, and by AIA for 1.5 AIA LUs.
